Privacy Policy

Last updated: 18 September 2026

Your privacy matters to us. Whenever a PDF tool supports local browser processing, your files are processed directly in your browser and are not uploaded to our servers. Some advanced features may require external services; such features clearly explain their data handling before use.

Files you process

Every tool on this site marked as browser-based reads your file using standard browser APIs into memory belonging to the page. The file is never sent over the network. We operate no upload endpoint, no document storage and no database, so there is nothing for us to retain.

Processed data is discarded when you close or reload the tab. Nothing is written to localStorage, sessionStorage, IndexedDB or cookies.

Tools that use an external service

Two planned tools — AI Summarizer and Translate PDF — will require an AI provider that you configure yourself. If they ship and you enable them, the text you choose to submit would be sent to that provider and is then subject to their privacy policy, not ours. Those tools will display a clear warning, show you what will be sent and require explicit confirmation first. If you never enable them, nothing is ever transmitted.

We do not claim that all files are never uploaded, because that would not be true of those two tools once they ship. Every tool currently on the site processes locally.

Information we collect

We do not collect personal information. There is no signup, no login and no profile. We run no analytics, no advertising scripts, no tracking pixels and no third-party embeds.

Our hosting provider and CDN will record standard technical request data — IP address, user agent, timestamp, requested path — as part of serving the site and protecting it from abuse. We do not combine this with anything else and it is governed by that provider's policy.

Third-party code

PDF and OCR libraries are loaded from a public CDN (unpkg.com), and OCR language data from tessdata.projectnaptha.com. Requesting these files reveals your IP address to those hosts, as any web request does. Your documents are never sent to them — only the library code comes back to you.

Children

This site is not directed at children and collects no information from anyone, including children.

Your rights

Rights such as access, correction and erasure apply to personal data that an organisation holds. We hold none, so there is nothing to disclose, correct or delete. If you have a question about this, contact us.

Changes

If this policy changes materially — particularly if any tool begins transmitting data — we will update this page and the notice on the affected tool.
