Will the slide text be editable in PowerPoint?

No, and this is stated plainly rather than glossed over. Each slide holds a page image. Rebuilding true text boxes from arbitrary PDF layout is not something that can be done reliably in a browser.

Does the slide size match my PDF?

Yes. A custom slide layout is created from the first page's dimensions so nothing is cropped or letterboxed.

Is it a real .pptx file?

Yes, a valid Office Open XML presentation that opens in PowerPoint, Keynote and Google Slides.
